Allow hair to grow to about a quarter-inch. Avoid deodorant on the day and exfoliate gently 24 hours before. Tell your technician about medications or sensitivities. Arrive clean and relaxed for the most comfortable, effective treatment.

When performed properly, waxing rarely causes lasting darkening. Temporary redness or mild irritation can slightly darken skin in sensitive clients. We use gentle products and post-care to reduce risks; avoid sun and fragranced deodorants afterwards. Patch tests recommended for known sensitivities.

Most clients enjoy two to six weeks of smooth, stubble-free underarms depending on individual hair growth cycles. Regular waxing often extends intervals between sessions and may lead to thinner regrowth over several treatments.

Waxing causes quick, momentary discomfort; sensations vary by individual and hair coarseness. Our technicians use expert technique, soothing pre-wax oil, and calming aftercare to reduce pain. Numbing creams can be used prior with advance notice; gentle analgesics and cold compresses help afterwards.

Avoid waxing immediately after shaving; skin needs hair growth of about a quarter-inch. If you have sensitive skin, inform us—we’ll perform a patch test and recommend gentler formulas or alternate timing. Active rashes, sunburn or open wounds mean rescheduling for safety.

Keep the area clean and avoid deodorant, heavy sweating, saunas, or hot showers for 24–48 hours. Use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer or aloe to soothe skin. Begin gentle exfoliation after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs and promote smooth regrowth.
